Found in the latest issue of
Tower Records' Pulse
magazine, with Rammstein on the cover, Rammstein talks
a bit about other German bands and Einsturzende Neubauten
is brought up a bit.
"I remember with Einsturzende
Neubauten," said Till, frontman of Rammstein. "I had a record
from them called Halber Mensch-Half Human-and when I heard
that record I got really depressed. It was so dark, I just
wanted to jump out the window."
He goes on to talk about how
Rammstein's music is different because it's romantic and doesn't
make people depressed. At the end of the piece the guitarist
says, "The biggest difference for me is that Neubauten is
very atonal. However, Rammstein is tonal. So I think that's
the difference. But the common thing between Neubauten and
Rammstein is that we both are not forgetting our roots, where
we come from."
Thanks a lot to: Ivan.
