It seems without knowing
or any announcements, Marilyn Manson's latest video
The Nobodies has debuted on MTV.
"Last night I was watching
MTV, trying to find the new Radiohead video, when,
at about 2:30 am, Marilyn Manson's The Nobodies
came on," said Will. "It was pretty shocking," he
added, "I figured they would bring it on the air at
a time with more viewers. I guess they don't think
Manson is popular enough anymore or something." I
have yet to see the video, but if the video only airs
late at night, it may be because it's to "controversial"
for prime time viewers. Whatever the case may be,
I'm sure the official Marilyn
Manson website will offer the video for download
this month or the following.
"The video itself is
extremely good, I really liked it. I only saw it once
so I don't know exactly what was happening," he mentioned,
"though it was far more imagery intense than the majority
of his previous videos. It featured Manson sort of
wearing something the reminds me of devil's horn,
although they were bigger. It had several children
involved and the video finished with Manson sitting
at a table somewhere eating with two kids... it also
has the rest of the band sort of dressed loosely like
trees."
"They apparently edited
out the word 'died'... so that REALLY takes away from
the song," he said. "I think if you heard it for the
first time, you wouldn't even really understand the
song or it's flow..."
I plan to help promote
this video with graphical banners in the next day
or so throughout the entire website. Until then, you
can help vote for Marilyn Manson's The Nobodies
on MTV's silly Total
Request Live.
