Trent Reznor Chats With Rollingstone About Fragility DVD & New Projects
Updated 06.09.2001 4:45 AM EDT

A teaser for the Fragility DVD was released less than 24 hours ago and to top it all off, Rollingstone Online has exclusively snagged an interview with Trent Reznor about the DVD and his latest projects.

As we know from the teaser, there will be surround sound, audio commentary, multiple camera angles, 18 performanes (among other features) and according to Rollingstone, it won't contain backstage footage that usually ccomapnies live videos and DVDs."We did a lot of research on what other bands had done and mistakes they've made and learned a lot from engineers on the cutting edge of that field," Reznor says.

Nevertheless, the studio work on the DVD has raised the bar for Reznor and has made it easier for him to return to the studio for a follow-up record to the Fragile. "We used it as a nice segue from coming from the road mentality back into the studio, getting manuals out, getting that part of your brain working again."

Although Reznor previsously reported material for the next record is moving along, he's also kept himself in the loop of things with film-scoring, production and remixing other artists. According to Rollingstone, he may even work with hip-hop artist Kelis!

[Working with Nine Inch Nails] becomes a bit incestuous," Reznor told Rollingstone. "The idea of just being with some other people right now excites me."
