Page Updates

This is a continuing report of changes and additions to the page.

6/17--More news today. I also added an interesting fact about Sin on the lyrics page, and a new pic on the Pics Of Trent page (it's a scan of the cover of the innocent's album, a band which trent was a part of. i think trent is the guy on the right). GOOD NEWS: The ultra-rare Aphrodite remix of The Perfect Drug should be up here within a week.

6/14--Added a new link today, and also some news.

6/12--Above The Trees has been chosen as the first "site of the month" award winner from A Warm Place, an excellent NiN page. I'm truly honored and I can't thank Bladerunner enough for this. Check out the award on the main page down by the counter, right next to the Happiness In Slavery 4-Star Site award, another very cool thing to be awarded.

The new message board seems to be going well. I encourage everybody to post, even if you don't really have anything to say. Just say whatever's on your mind.

6/7--Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I've been really busy. However, today is the day you've all been waiting for, I've finally put up WWWBoard, a fully-threaded message system which will allow you to have discussions with NiN fans all over the world! Check it out! Also, tons of news over the past week.

5/31--Lots of news over the past few days. Also, now that this site has grown to over 70 pages, I now have a quick-reference index to everything on the site. You'll find that here. Also, added a link today, and there's a new animated banner up for the news page. WWWBoard is coming very soon, I promise!

5/21--The new rare songs page is up, and contains much more than the old one. I will continue working on it for the next week or so, adding more files and upgrading some of the old RealAudio files into MP3's.

5/18--Yesterday's "Happy Birthday Trent" page can now be found here.

5/17--Today's Trent's birthday, so you may have noticed an honorary birthday page up in place of the main page. Happy birthday, big guy.

5/15--Today I fixed the lyrics & halos page to accomidate halo 11. Also, a breif bit of news.

5/14--RealAudio samples of the new Perfect Drug remixes are now available on the Perfect Drug page.

5/13--The Perfect Drug EP has been released! Check today's News for more info, and check out the Perfect Drug page.

5/11--I fixed the links that didn't work on the rare songs page, including the MP3 player, which is now available locally through the same link on the rare songs page. This is the full version and will play entire songs, not just the first 20 seconds. Also, I finished sprucing up and added a banner graphic to the links page, and I also put up a news report.

5/10--Another site has been reviewed today, The Official Schulte Collaborator's Network. Check it out here.

5/8--More news today. Also, I'm now reviewing new NiN webpages. When a new review is written it will be posted in the sidebar of the news page. You can find an index of all the reviews (right now there's only one) here. Also, I'm reworking the links page a little bit. I've already changed the look and added some new links, and by tomorrow I hope to have finished it off with more links and also graphics. And, as of yesterday, the chat room is gone. I was sick of the glitchy java chat, and so I have now become a member of the Ninternet chat room, which is non-java (so it works well) and is supported by most of the major NiN pages (so it's usually pretty busy). As a part of the new chat feature here, I hope to have a WWWboard message system up within the next week. For all the info on that and the Ninternet chat room, go to chat.

5/4--I've started a LinkExchange program for people with NiN pages who want them to be featured here. Info on that can be found here. And to help with that, I've made some banners you can use to link to Above The Trees and put them up here. This branches off into a page which displays the various logos on the main page. You can see those here. Also, I've added some new links and labeled the videos on the videos page so you know which ones have sound and which ones don't.

5/1--More news again. Also, I put some new pictures up on the history of Trent's pre-NiN days in recent interviews.

4/28--More news today.

4/26--A NEW SONG is up on the rare songs page. I finally got a good copy of Supernaut. It's a great song, so be sure to download it. Also, I finally made a 5th song for the song generator, and I changed the pop-up window on the frames version so that it is an option and does not open automatically.

4/26--I've been informed that for the last month I've been putting a 3 (for march) instead of a 4 (for april) on the dates of this page, so I changed that. Oops. That's what I get for never checking it for errors. There are a lot of pages at Above The Trees, and sometimes I'm either really tired or in a real hurry when I update them, so if you ever see any errors or type-os, etc., PLEASE e-mail me and let me know about them so I can get them fixed. Thanks.

4/25--I've collected all the Perfect Drug resources on this page into a Perfect Drug Page. From here you can download the song and video, read the lyrics, look at pictures, get some info, and other stuff. Also, I added some news and some new fan art.

4/22--The news page has finally been remodelled. It looks pretty good, so check it out. In addition to all the regular news, it now features a side bar with "news tidbits" giving additional info, articles, and other things. Also, I added the article about Trent's pre-NiN days on the recent interviews page, and I added a sound clip of Trent talking about his music on the spin online interview.

4/21--More news (i'm working on completely redesigning the news page. check back in a day or two), and I added the history of Trent's pre-NiN days from Cleveland Online on the recent interviews page. Also on that page, thrown in with the spinonline interview you'll find a sound clip of Trent talking about his music.

4/19--Put up some news, and also fixed the videos page so that more of the videos feature sound.

4/18--Added some news.

4/17--More news today. Also, I added a bunch of pics, in the Trent section and the Fan Art section, and also in the Logos section (i've expanded the logos to a third page). I finally got a cover shot of the January Live! magazine featuring Trent, so that's fixed. Also, I put a java feature on the main page which will tell you how many times you've visited Above The Trees since today. It will also give you a rating based on how many times you've been here. There are about nine or ten different ranks, starting at "Newcomer" and ending (???) at "True NiN Fan" (after 100 visits). As with a great many of the features on this page, you'll need an HTML 3.0 browser, such as Netscape 3. Finally, I added a great new link and updated the rare pics page so it loads faster.

4/16--Put up some news, and also put a better cover shot of the TIME issue on the recent interviews page.

4/15--Added another picture to the TIME article. This picture is from TIME.com's online version of the Reznor article.

4/14--Put up a news update. Also, I added the new article in TIME Magazine about Trent (see news) to the recent interviews page.

4/11--Added a bunch of news, and there's a poll mixed in with today's news that you might be interested in. I'll be out of town for the next few days, so there won't be anything new (including news) until tuesday morning. See you then, have a great week.

4/11--Added a really cool drawing in the Fan Art section.

4/10--I spruced up the Recent Interviews page really well, be sure to go check it out. I also added the Live! Magazine interview from January on that page, complete with pictures. Oh yeah, I also fixed a little problem on the Trent Pics page.

4/9--Above The Trees With Frames now features a pop-up window which plays background music and scrolls the latest headlines. You'll need a java-capable browser to enjoy this new feature.

4/8--I added a java applet on the main page and on the news page that counts down to May 13th (the release date for The Perfect Drug EP). It is accurate to the second!

4/8--Correction: TPD will be released MAY 13th, not April 13th. I had been misinformed, and just informed of the new date. Sorry for any confusion.

4/8--Some more news today. Also, I added to yesterday's news a message supposedly posted by Chris Vrenna on a.m.n.

4/7--Added a BIG news update today.

4/6--Title graphics are now up on the Links page. Also, I fixed a type-o!

4/5--Fancy graphic titles are now up on most of the pages, excluding the Links page and the sub-pages of the Picture Gallery section (those will, hopefully, be done tomorrow). Also, the news page has been improved.

4/4--Made an imagemap for the Memorabilia page.

4/3--I added this little menu thing at the bottom of every page, to make navigation easier. Also, I added a breif news update and a new link.

4/3--TWO NEW SONGS have been added on the Rare Songs Page.

4/2--Three new fonts have been added on the fonts page. Also, as I begin sprucing up the overall look of the page, I've made some nice title graphics for the songs in the lyrics and halos page.

3/31--As you've probably already noticed, I made some major changes today. These are just the first in a series of changes. First of all, I changed the main page a bit, and made the menu smaller. Also, I added a live nin chat room to the page, for those of you with java capable browsers (and for those of you without, you don't have any excuse--just download netscape 3!). I hope to hang out on the chat room as much as I can to keep things going. And finally, I added a new song to the rare songs page.

3/30--Added some news, and also spruced up the Recent Interviews page by throwing in more pictures from each of the articles. Speaking of pictures, more pics of Trent are up, and I've removed the "new pics" page, because its purpose was served.

3/29--I added the Raygun interview to the new Recent Interviews page, and also put in a breif news update.

3/28--There's now a page in Info with three of the most recent interviews with Trent, including Rolling Stone, SPIN, and SPINOnline. Also, check out Nine Inch Smurfs in Creative Works.

3/28--A few brief news updates.

3/26--Put some info on ordering Perfect Drug t-shirts here (check recent news for more info). Also, I put up a new picture of Trent.

3/25--Added some News, and also a couple of Links.

3/23--A bunch of new pics are up on the Pictures Of Trent page, and the thumbnails also load much faster now.

3/23--Added an interesting little tidbit about Suck on the Lyrics and Halos page.

3/22--Added a little disclaimer on the News page.

3/21--I made a few minor changes to the pics and info pages, and also updated the graphics on the memorabilia page (they were starting to look a little shoddy).

3/20--Added a short bit in News.

3/19--Tired of waiting for that main page to load? Try Above The Trees "Light", an image-free version of the main page for frequent users and those of you with slower modems. I also converted the logo on the regular main page to a smaller sized jpeg, so it takes about a third of the time to load now.

3/19--A NEW FEATURED SONG ("TWIST") HAS (finally) BEEN ADDED ON THE SONGS PAGE. Plus, forms have been added on a few pages, including this one, to join mailing lists for page and news updates. Also, I gave the Picture Gallery page a new look, and changed the background on this page. COMING SOON: I'm probably going to be adding a "Light" version of Above The Page, for those frequent visitors who don't want to hassle with the graphics, and also for people with slower modems. Also, I'd like to make a new logo for the page, I'm getting sick of the current one. Look for those changes within a week.

3/16--Added a new logo on the second logos page. I'm thinking it's about time I expand to three logos pages...

3/15--Not much has been going on recently. Today I made a change on the news page, and also put up a scan from the cover of the recent Spin magazine featuring Trent Reznor.

3/12--More news updates have been added.

3/11--A little bit of news is up about Trent in magazines, and also I fixed a problem with one of the create-a-songs.

3/9--Added a couple new songs in the NiN Create-A-Song page, and also a new link on the links page.

3/8--A new feature is up in Creative Works where you can create lyrics to your own NiN song. There aren't many songs right now, but more will be added soon.

3/7--Added a few new logos, updated links page.

3/5--Update in News.

3/4--Added breif bits in News area.

3/3--New pics of Trent are up on a temporary page, until I have time to integrate them into the picture gallery. There is also a short sound file of Trent talking about his music, from the online spin interview. I hope to soon get the picture gallery reorganized so the thumbnails don't take as long to load.

3/3--A new featured song is up in the Rare Songs area in Memorabilia.
