technical information
- pop server: mail.nineinchnails.net
- smtp server: depends on your isp:
in order to send messages, you will need to change your smtp server to the

setup instructions
- you will need a mail client such as the shareware program "eudora" to
check your mail. eudora can be downloaded from www.eudora.com.
if you wish to check your mail from the web, you can check out the free
service from hotmail.
- we will assume that you are using eudora for the rest of the setup process,
all other clients should be very similar in setup. once you have downloaded your
mail client and installed it, proceed to the next step to begin setting it up.
- the first time you run eudora, you may be prompted to answer whether
you would like to make it the default mail program. this is asking if you want
to use eudora whenever you send email. you should answer yes to this unless
you share your computer with someone who also uses email.
- next, eudora will load and bring up the options box. this is where the bulk
of your configuration will be done. enter the following information into the corresponding space:
getting started
- pop account: <your username>@mail.nineinchnails.net
- real name: <your real name>
- return address: <your username>@nineinchnails.net
- all other information can be left as-is
next click on the hosts icon and fill in this information
- pop account: <your username>@mail.nineinchnails.net
- smtp: once again, this is the same as the smtp server specified above - which
depends on your isp
setup is complete!
- it's time to check your mail for the first time. go to the file menu,
and select "check mail" (alternately, you can press the icon on the toolbar).
next, you will be prompted for your password - enter it, and you will see a
status bar report the mail checking progress.
this should be all of the information you need to get online. if you still have
trouble, send an email to services.
i will help you setup any other client you may need assistance with.
