Although it is confirmed
Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor did not authorize Closure,
the 1997 double VHS box set, to be released in DVD
format as previously reported. DVD
File informed SLS News that according to Trimark,
"they are indeed releasing the DVD," said the site.
"Trimark has already sent out preorder info to retailers,
who are now taking preorders."
The merch website sent
a letter to the producer at Trimark to learn any additional
information, but the site did confirm this has happened
before. "U2 pulled DVDs that were announced by Universal,
because they weren't told," explained the site.
So what does all this
mean you ask? Considering this is the first time Trent
has heard of such a release, it's very doubtful he
will acknowledge it, especially with the Fragility
DVD just around the corner or is it?
Whatever the case may
be, DVD
File confirms the $29.95 DVD would include a full
frame transfer, English 5.1 Dolby Digital surround
track, and additional behind-the-scenes and live footage.
There will be a follow-up
article from both SLS News and DVD File shortly after
the merch site receives official word about any or
additional changes from Trimark. Until then, keep
those fingers crossed!
