Marilyn Manson Drummer Ginger Fish Injured, But The Show Must Goes On

We received numerous letters about last night's Marilyn Manson concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. According to the official statement on Marilyn Manson's site, "at the end of the show last night in New York, Ginger fractured his collar bone while jumping over his drum set. He is feeling fine and will not miss any shows. The tour continues in Detroit Tuesday night."

Below are some eyewitness reports from the fans that attended:

Hey, I just came back from the NYC Marilyn Manson show. It was awesome, but something weird happened at the end. Manson threw a mic stand in Ginger Fish's direction, and then started tearing at his drum equipment. Ginger Fish stayed behind the set for a few minutes but then he rolled off of the riser to the audience's applause. However, he remained on the floor and moved very little. He stayed on the ground, and the curtains and lights came up. A few minutes later a large group of people on stage rushed to his aid, and I saw an ambulance squad outside waiting for him. No one made any announcements. - The Last Cell.

I just got back from the NYC Manson, show and I'm sure you'll hear this from a bunch of people... At the very end of the show, with one song to go if they would have followed the same setlist as the night before, Marilyn threw the mic stand at ginger (big surprise, right?)... But it hit ginger in the head, and then Marilyn was trying to pull the drums down, and when ginger stood up, he tumbled over the drum set and landed head first onto the floor, right on his neck. His legs were twitching and john 5 walked over and ginger reached his arm up and John 5 ignored him and went backstage. The houselights went on and ginger was still laying the same position, so all the tech guys came over, and in a few minutes, there were dozens of them and rose came back out (she had been dancing on the side) and touched ginger and then walked off the stage very pissy. We don't know what happened to him, but it seemed like he was hurt more seriously than usual. One of the people that work for Manson told the bouncers to make everyone leave very quickly, and the bouncer said ginger was unconscious, but we thought we saw people talking to him. Just wanted to let you know, also, Iąm going to call that bouncer tomorrow to ask what happened... -gen

I donąt know if this really classifies as news, but I was at the Marilyn Manson show at the Hammerstein Ballroom last night in NYC, and at the end of the encore after they just got done doing "1996", Marilyn trashed the stage.... throwing the mic stand into ginger when he was still playing.... then Marilyn proceeded to rip apart the drum set.... while ginger was still playing.... knocking him off of the seat and behind the drum set A few seconds later, ginger (I'm pretty sure that it was him) comes crashing down on the stage from the drum set and lands on his head.... leaving him to squirm on stage for about a minute until the set was over and the lights came back on...as soon as they did, people from backstage were surrounding ginger, or who ever it was.... I think he may have been hurt like I said this may turn out to be nothing, but I thought that I would email you. The show was FUCKING tremendous...best I've ever been to. -Justin.

I was at the Manson show last night, the 25th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and Ginger fish hurt himself. After their last encore, "1996", Manson's destroying amps with his mike stand and then goes over to the drum platform which seemed to be a good couple of feet elevated from the rest of the stage while Fish is still playing and rips down pieces of drum equipment, causing fish to somehow fall backwards on the platform. He then stands and throws the whole drum set over, taking him with it. It looked like a pretty nasty tumble. He didnąt move at all, and roadies' eventually came over to help him. Me and my friends hung around till security told the last few people they had to get out, which must have been between 10 and 20 minutes after he fell and still no movement. I donąt really think he's dead...well, maybe. But from the looks of it he wont be drumming for a while. - Fetal Pig.

Thanks a lot to everyone else who submitted their reports about last night's accident.
