Best Buy, Circuit City Sensor Holy Wood Cover Art In Print Ads
We received reports that Manson's Holy Wood cover art has hit the Best Buy print ad censors and only advertises a partial image of the cover art with the November 14th release date. "My mom was looking through the free advertisement magazines in the newspaper and while reading the one for Best Buy she came across a picture of 'Holy Wood' under the upcoming albums section," OmegaChrist15 said. "I was appalled to discover that the picture of Holy Wood had an entirely different cover! The cover is of Marilyn Manson from shoulders up on top of a background that looks like a thumbprint." Joe reports, "All the major retail stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City and such show a picture of the cover that is not the same cover as the official Holy Wood artwork." He explained, just as the above viewer did, "it's more of a facial shot painting in the same style as the original shown on the official site." This may be due to pressure from corporate execs with the 'crucifixion' shot being to controversial.
