Chuck Palahniuk, author
of Fight Club and the upcoming Choke, sat down with
Erie Entertainment's John Lyons for an interview about
mulitple topics. A few of which mention both Trent
Reznor and Marilyn Manson's involvement with "Survivor,"
a novel of his soon to turn to the big screen.
Although a contributer
submiited a piece to Dark Horizons yesterday that
claimed "Survivor" is not looking to bright, based
by the words of Chuck Palahnuik himself, the author
confimed in the interview that FOX is pleased
with the screenplay! "They got a screenplay that they
seem to be happy with," he said. "I haven't seen it,
but with the writers and directors strike coming up
this year, not a whole lot is going to get done, so
I'm not holding my breath," he continued. "I want
to work on the two books that I want to come out next
year, I've got Choke, I've got this HBO TV series
thing I'm working on..."
Trent Reznor and Marilyn
Manson were brought up during the tail end of the
interview, which Chuck talked briefly about meeting
both artists, and even mentioned Manson wanted to
score the new movie too!
"He really wants to
score Survivor, which I think would be awesome," he
said about Trent Reznor. "And Manson had asked about
scoring it too, but I said I sort of talked to Trent
about this, and Manson said that's cool, but he'd
really like to read it for the audio book. He's got
that really growly, gravely voice."
In other news, Dark
Horizons also mentioned in their mini report that
Manson had recently called the author to see if he's
interested in the possiblity of co-creating a series
with him.
