It seems in the five
or so many years of hard work that I've put into Seems
Like Salvation News with all the put downs and bullshit
I've had to face from countless people all around
the world, I for some god damn reason decided to trash
all credibility with my site? No, that's not how it
works...
On December 19th, I
received an email from a Trent Reznor "nin.com" account...
This email, which can be read below, states in full
the credibility of its nature and the location of
the email address was to be presumed legit.

Hi Evan, Just off the
bat I want you to know this is indeed the real Trent
Reznor. I sent a mail off to news@seemslikesalvation.com
because I also sent a mail to news@nineinchnails.net
because one of my associates assured me that it would
work. I've been having A lot of tormenting problems
with my mail server and I got the letter back to me
returned saying that there was an error in delivery.
I will summarize what
I said in the email to you before.
I am talking directly
to some of the fans soon in an online chat on my website.
The date of the chat will go unannounced until the
last minute, but what I need you to tell people is
to sign up to the nin.com message boards if they have
not yet already. to participate in the chat you must
have a valid mb account and you must be active. The
first 20 people to the chat will get a one minute
clip from a song from my upcoming album that is still
in the works. The working title for the album is 'the
mentality of one' and will be about 12 tracks in length.
that's about all the info I want to give out for now
and you can give out this information freely and first.
I will email you tomorrow with the date and time of
the chat, so if you try to email me back and there
are any errors, its my mailserver, we're going to
replace them.
Thanks,
trent

As of this morning,
the real Trent Reznor with an alternative email
address wrote me to say that my facts about the chat;
the title, etc are not true. Rather than get angrier
at the situation, considering I thought I was helping
the cause, I removed yesterday's update because it
turned out to be someone's little prank to pose as
Trent Reznor's email address! So I sincerely apologize
for any inconvenience or misunderstanding I may have
caused.
