Marilyn Manson Interviewed By Zero Magazine

Found on the official pages of the free music magazine available at record stores, cafes and clubs in North California is a three page cover story interview with Marilyn Manson by Zero Magazine in their December/January issue. The official magazine site, which opens with a very simple flash introduction to the tune of Marilyn Manson's "the Love Song" and the magazine cover to their latest issue, features the interview in its entirety including four black and white photos of the band and his congregation.

Below is snippet from the new interview:

"To me, both sides of our political system say whatever they think will appease their constituents. It's hard for me to buy into this system. It's almost easier for me to understand systems like communism, fascism or imperialism because they're more cut and dry," he explains. I asked him what he thought of Senator Joseph Lieberman, an outspoken critic of Manson's music, and his inclusion on the democratic ticket. "There's some of that on both sides," he answered. "Dick Cheney's wife has also come out against me, I can't win," he chuckles. "But I do think that under a conservative presidency, rock'n'roll is always more exciting. The fact that Clinton tried so hard to be one of the people, it was almost socialistic in a way. It got to the point where he was on MTV appealing to the youth....if anyone was exploiting them, it was he. I would rather have the government be the enemy like it's supposed to be. They're not supposed to be our friends," he asserts. As he said this, I nodded to myself and told him that that idea just seemed to be so just much more 'rock'n'roll.' "Yes," he resoundingly agreed.

Thanks a lot to: Diana.
