New in the Web Archive section: Using the flash emulator Ruffle, I'm able to get the flash files from early nin.com mostly functioning. It just works, and the user doesn't need to do anything on their end. Even on mobile! It's not 100%, still some work to do on my end and some links will not work anymore just due to the nature of 25-year-old flash files. But it's still a pretty convincing way to experience these old sites.

I'll soon be doing a long-overdue overhaul of the nin.com archive section. When I first built the site, I made it so all of the original Shockwave flash files are fully functional including all the content within them. I think as long as you used Internet Explorer, you could navigate them just like the old days. I must have assumed users would go to the trouble to do so (and know to do so), which seems insane to me now, especially since Internet Explorer doesn't even really exist anymore. Honestly I don't even know what I was thinking. Anyway, I fixed this problem in the Fragility Tour section ages ago, but never did so for the rest of the content. So that will be a project coming soon.
The Artwork section was always supposed to include more than just The Downward Spiral, I just never got around to it. I'm looking forward to adding more soon. And don't get me started on the Misc. section... I'll figure something out.
I recently obtained a larger flatbed scanner, so I'll eventally add Vinyl releases to the Scans section.
This year marks the 10th (!) anniversary of the site! I never thought it would grow to what it is today and actually be a place people come to regularly. While the majority of content came from my own archives, I have many contributors to thank as well. This iteration of the site (not counting its origins as a Geocities site in 1998) acutally began as just the Fonts page, posted to a thread on Echoing the Sound, which was spurred on when Leviathant found the actual TDS and Broken font names back in the early 2010's. (The full site was born a few days later.) The page was always supposed to look like a throwback to my favorite sites of the 90's. To sort of commemorate that, I'm working on a sort of portal to the "ninternet", where you surf some of those old sites as they looked back then. Basically its like archive.org's Wayback Machine, but more customized and without their interface up top. I'll jus be a fun novelty, and it's almost done I just habe some cleanup to do.
